The Friends of the Library at Lowell Public Library will be holding their annual rummage sale on the following dates:
April 24 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
April 25 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
April 26 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. ($5 Bag Sale)
The practice of spring cleaning is a time-honored tradition that has deep cultural roots. It originated in the days when homes were heated with wood and illuminated by lanterns, which left layers of soot on every surface. When spring arrived, it was time to open the windows and doors, pull out the rugs and bedding to beat away the dust, and scrub the floors and windows until they shone.
According to many experts, spring cleaning and decluttering provide great exercise. They also say that disorganized spaces create clutter not only in our homes but also in our minds. By organizing these areas, you can clear the clutter and create a more peaceful environment for you and your family.
Spring represents new beginnings. Take the opportunity to embrace the changing season and make positive changes in your life. You'll feel a weight lifted.
So, are you planning to declutter your home? We would love to take your donations! You can drop off items starting at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, until noon on Wednesday, April 23. Please note that drop-offs are not allowed after 7 PM from Monday to Thursday or after 4 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
We welcome items that are in good, clean, and working condition. Items accepted include crafts, artwork, DVDs, music, toys and games, baby and children's clothing, kitchen items, seasonal décor, electronics, office supplies, and more! We do not accept adult clothing, undergarments, kids’ furniture, or strollers. More details are on our Rummage Sale flyer.
This event is the Friends’ largest fundraiser of the year, and with your support, we hope to make it a great success. Please consider donating to help keep Lowell Public Library programming the best it can be!
